Below is but a small measure of revelation that my father had received from the Lord. I hope this will be a blessing to you. All that is written below are the words of my father.
In loving memory of my father Robert Louis (Bob) Padgett July 28, 1931-May 22, 2023 |
In this message we want to share with you about the end of the ages. Our purpose is certainly NOT to share a history lesson or to make sure everyone knows about what is coming very soon.
The Lord has His own time-table and NO man can change it. Another title of this message could be "Prepare ye the way of the Lord."
10 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.11 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:11-12
The more accurate translation of Verse 10 is, "upon whom the end of the ages is come." The word, world, is the Greek aion, which is translated in the Bible in two different ways: a period that never ends, meaning forever or eternal OR a period of time that begins and ends. The context in the Bible dictates whether aion means an age or forever.
Ephesians 1:20-21, "Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world [aion, or age], but also in that which is to come."
Some other of the 125 verses that speak of ages are Ephesians 2:7, Ephesians 3:5, and Colossians 1:26.
Many Christian scholars have talked about seven different ages. A Biblical Age is a period of time which begins and ends with God's supernatural and dramatic intervention on earth, impacting the whole world in a major and far-reaching way, and which completely changes the course of the history of the world. We will start with the creation of man and the creation of time.
1 The Age of innocence after God created man until the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. The Bible does not tell us the length of that time period.2 The Age, after the fall of man, up to the time of Noah and the great flood, in which only eight souls were saved.3 The time from the end of the flood until Abraham.4 The time from Abraham until Moses.5 The Age of the Old Covenant of the Law, as given to Moses.6 The Age of the Church under the New Covenant of grace. This present age will end at the second coming of Jesus Christ, when the next age, the Millennial Age, will begin. It is also quite likely that this present Church Age is divided into seven parts, as indicated by the seven churches in Revelation, Chapters 2 and 3. The first of the seven letters in Revelation, Chapter 2, was to Ephesus, that part of the church age in Paul's time. We are definitely living in the seventh or last part of the Church Age.
Revelation 3:14-20,
14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
The church at Laodicea is characterized by great deception, as stated in Verses 17 and 18. All of those seven verses are written to Christians. From Verse 20, the Lord is standing and knocking at the door of us Christians today. The door has to be opened from the inside. Finally, the seventh age is
7 The Millennial Age of the Kingdom of God on earth. That age starts with the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth.
Outside of, or external to time, as we know it, and outside or external to this earth, as we know it, we could talk about two eternal ages. The first was in eternity past when only the angels had been created. The second is the Eternal Age of the Kingdom of God, which differs from all other ages in that it has no end.
Although no man knows for a certainty, the most reliable church historians place the creation of man at 4004 B.C., the birth of Abraham at 1996 B.C., and the birth of Jesus at 4 B.C. That means 2000 years from Adam to Abraham, 2000 years from Abraham to Jesus, and 2000 years from Jesus to His second coming. In six days, God rested from all of His work. We know that the earthly ministry of Jesus began when He was 30 years of age and lasted three and one-half years. If, in fact, Jesus was born in 4 B.C., and most likely around the latter part of our September during the Feast of Tabernacles, then He was crucified just before Passover in 30 A.D. and rose from the dead three days later. Also, if we assume 6000 years of time between the creation of man and the second coming of Jesus (the start of the Millennium), then we arrive at somewhere between 2029 and 2030 for His second coming. That would mean we have eight or nine more years before His return. Now I am NOT prophesying that all of this is true, because no man knows the day or the hour (Matthew 24:13) of His return. However, from the words of Jesus Himself, as recorded in Matthew 24, the greatest sign of His imminent return is great deception, which we have certainly witnessed in the past year, both in the world and with Christians. Jesus said that the deception would be so great that, if it were possible, even the very elect would be deceived. The very elect does not equate to being born again.
I have not received sufficient revelation to speak as the oracles of God concerning the books of Daniel and Revelation. I am not convinced that any man really understands everything in those books. A year or so ago I bought a 738-page book written by a highly esteemed, former saint about the book of Revelation. After looking at a few pages in that book, it is ready for the trash heap. I believe the author's entire premise is incorrect because he says that the book of Revelation does not apply to Christians. To me, that is gross error. I am not entirely sure that even the Apostle John who penned the Book of Revelation, understood all of those mysteries. I could give my opinion, but if any man says, "The Lord told me this or that," then there is no room for error. However, as a good brother once said, I believe that my opinion is just as good as any other man's opinion. We will only address what the Lord has made real to us. Moreover, the Lord has been emphasizing to us three sets of verses.
2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him. 1 Corinthians 8:2-3
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1 Corinthians 2:9For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it? 1 Corinthians 4:7
This word lays a foundation for the end of the "Church Age" and the beginning of the "Age of the Kingdom." This is not to say that the Kingdom of God is not already here. The Bible speaks of the Kingdom of God from Genesis through Revelation. The Kingdom of God has been available to man ever since man was created. The Kingdom of God is not a physical location. It is that place where the will of God is always done. When Enoch, the seventh from Adam, walked with God and was translated because he pleased God, what did he experience other than walking in the Kingdom of God? Further, we believe that our highest calling is simply to walk with God all the time.
Many of you are aware of the general state of the visible church. It is not a pretty picture. But a number of years ago the Lord told me to stop talking about the state of the church. Instead, He asked, "What are you going to do about it?" Perhaps the Lord is asking each believer, "What are you going to do about it?" When we are allowed to see the state of the visible church, we can only marvel and wonder how the Lord is going to bring all things back together. It seems almost impossible. And when will He do just that? We describe four theses in preparation for this word. Then we will present, for your consideration, the major events that must take place prior to the Lord's return to earth. Our first thesis is ...
1. God has designed all of creation to have everything point to the Lord Jesus Christ. He created everything in the world. Everything has the stamp of His making. All of Scripture points to Him.
16 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:17 And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.18 And He is the head of the body, the church: Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.19 For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell;20 And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. Colossians 1:16-20
Note the twelve occurrences of He, Him, His, and Himself. This speaks of the centrality, supremacy, preeminence, and sovereignty of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thesis number 2 ...
2. All of creation is groaning for Him and the glorious deliverance for which all things long.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of Him who hath subjected the same in hope,21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Romans 8:19-23
Our third thesis is
3. The Lord is waiting for spiritual Zion to do something.
18 And therefore will the LORD wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for Him.19 For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: He will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when He shall hear it, He will answer thee. Isaiah 30:18-19
In Verse 18, the Lord waits and we are blessed to wait for Him. If I wait for you and you wait for me, we have stalemate ... nothing happens. Before we are born from above, man frequently, when confronted with a difficult situation, says, "Lord if You will just get me through this, then I will ..." But after we are born from above, that scenario no longer applies.
Now the Lord says, "If you (the believer in Christ) will ... then I will ..." Dozens of scriptures testify to this truth.
Verse 19 speaks of our response to every problem... every situation: Cry out to Him, "Help, Lord." Our fourth thesis is,
4. What is the Lord waiting for?
Although there is room in the economy of God for many things at different levels, for many years I have been impressed with what I believe is priority number one in God's order of restoration in terms of what He is looking for us to "do." My favorite verses are:
17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare Thy people, O LORD, and give not Thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?18 Then will the LORD be jealous for His land, and pity His people. Joel 2:17-18
It is true that every believer is called to be a priest ... a priest after the order of Melchizedek. However, some believers, by their choice ... by their decisions ... become ministers to the house rather than ministers of the Lord (Ezekiel 44).
Each of those four theses are worthy of, and easily cry out for, much elaboration, contemplation, and revelation, but that is not our purpose here. However, without any doubt, Joel 2:17-18 represents end-time events. When spiritual Zion walks in Joel 2:17, the "Then" in Verse 18 speaks of the Parousia, or second coming of the Lord ... His second advent. And from Joel 2:18 through the end of that Book, there is no mention of anything that we "do." It is all His work ... the grace and mercy and sovereignty of our mighty God. Joel 2:17 has not yet been fulfilled, because, from Isaiah 66:7-9,
7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.
Clearly, from Verse 8, Zion has not yet travailed to the satisfaction of the Lord.
2 Peter 3:3-7, "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,4 And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."
Now let us look at the events that the Bible says will occur prior to the second coming of the Lord. As a background, just before the great flood in the days of Noah, we read, in
Genesis 6:5-8, "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at his heart. And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD."
We know, from 1 Peter 3:20, that only eight souls were saved from the great flood. During their sojourn inside the ark, all of the animals were at peace with one another and the eight saved souls were at peace with one another and with the animals. But AFTER the eight souls and all of the animals left the ark, peace no longer reigned. Exactly 101 years after leaving the ark, we read, in Genesis 11:1-9, of the re-emergence of Babylon, which occurred at the birth of Peleg, which means "division" or "divided."
1 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top [may reach] unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.5 And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.6 And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
The kingdom of God is characterized by the unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The devil has always tried to copy that unity, but his kingdom is based on man's union with man. One example of that is the so-called "ecumenical movement." Babylon is the devil's kingdom, which comes forth in three distinct aspects: economic, political, and religious, and in that order.
Revelation 6:3-6,
3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
Verse 6 speaks of hyper-inflation. From Matthew 20, a penny was one man's wages for a day. The national debt now is almost 28 trillion dollars and increasing daily. Each persons' share of the national debt is almost $85,000. The only question is WHEN will America go bankrupt. So the time is soon upon us when a man will work one day for a loaf of bread. WHEN, not if, that happens, there will be riots in our streets, looting, and even killing for food. Terrible things happen when man gets hungry. Many Christians have been warning us to store up an ample supply of food and water in anticipation of coming disasters. I must disagree. If the Lord tells you to store up food and water for others, then do it. But if you store up for yourself, it will rot and breed worms. As for me and my house, we trust the Lord and only the Lord to keep us alive in famine.
Psalm 33:16-19, "There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy; To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine."
Isaiah 3:12, "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths."
This verse, of course, has increasingly been in process of being fulfilled in the world. Just look at the number of women in Congress and those who are CEO's of business organizations. As of January 22, Biden has chosen 12 women to serve in Cabinet positions. If they are all confirmed, it would break the record for the most women ever to serve in the 25 current Cabinet-level positions. Of course, we also have a female vice-president in Kamala Harris. I will be greatly surprised if Biden completes this current four-year term. Everyone knows that if anything happens to Biden, then we will have the first female president in our history. When that happens, Isaiah 3:12 will be fulfilled. That will also be the start of a huge increase in socialism and a big jump in government control of individuals, thus laying the groundwork for the fall of economic Babylon.
Revelation 13 speaks of two beasts. Verses 1-10 of Revelation 13 speak of a beast with seven heads and ten horns which rises up out of the sea. The sea speaks of humanity. This beast represents the political aspect of Babylon. Because of the world-wide economic collapse, a world-wide dictator, which could consist of a coalition of seven kings (seven horns), will arise to restore man's order in the world. However, that will come as a great spiritual loss for all Christians who submit to the ways of the beast. For an explanation of the seven heads and ten horns, see Revelation 17:9-10.
Revelation 13:11-18 speaks of another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. This beast is clearly the counterfeit of Jesus because it speaks of a lamb. This beast is the religious aspect of Babylon. All wars have been started for religious conflicts. Satan's number one priority has always been to have everyone worship him. This will mark the last phase of Satan's plan to rid the earth of all Christians, which plan is stated in Acts 4:26-28,

"The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against His Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done."
Those verses speak of the coalition of political leaders, worldly people, and Jews (religious sector) which set aside all of their differences and united to crucify Jesus. Note that was all done according to the sovereign will and plan of the Father. Those verses will be fulfilled once more in these last of the last days when Satan tries to eliminate as many Christians as possible.
Revelation 18:2-4,
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
I believe the longer we wait to "come out of her, my people," the more difficult it will be. However, that implies that we Christians must first discern who and what constitutes all parts of Babylon. From Jonah 4:11, there were more than 120 thousand persons who could not discern between their right hand and their left hand.
Ezekiel 44:23 speaks of the priests, the sons of Zadok, who have not yet been revealed to the Christian community in our day.
"And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean."
Until we can discern the difference between Babylon and the Lord's ways, none of us can come out of Babylon. Lord, teach us the difference between the holy ad the profane, and cause us to discern between the unclean and the clean. Lord, anoint the true shepherds
who will lead your sheep to safety. Amen.
