Treasures of Darkness and Hidden Riches of Secret Places

| In loving memory of my father Robert Louis (Bob) Padgett July 28, 1931-May 22, 2023 |
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, Which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. Isaiah 45:3
Treasures represent revelations of God's Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Darkness speaks of trials, sorrows, and sufferings of our circumstances. Hidden riches represent understanding of lessons to be learned. Secret places speak of being in His presence ... in close intimate relationship with Him.
In the darkness of our circumstances (whatever trial, sorrow, or suffering we're facing), our Father wants to give us revelation and understanding (treasures and hidden riches) as we abide with Him in the secret place of His presence!
The circumstance is easier to bear if we have some understanding of the "why" it has been allowed. How does this fit into the big picture of God's glory, and what can I learn from this that will help me? All we have to do is ask Him the purpose of the pain. He is a loving Father who wants the pain stopped more than we do, so why has it been allowed? There are lessons for me to learn - for you to learn - treasures of darkness that can only be gleaned by walking through the path of pain that we're on right now.
Ask Him "Why"! Ask Him what He wants you to learn from this - your circumstances. When you get to that place of earnestly seeking, when your focus changes from the circumstance to Him, your pain will be radically lessoned if not totally removed! You see - there is no pain in His presence!
Let your path of pain lead you straight to that secret place, in His presence, where there is only fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11)! Search for treasures and hidden riches in the dark places. Let the path of pain be your guide! Your path of pain will bring you into a large place of freedom in Him like you never dreamed possible, with joy unspeakable!
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2
Path of Pain
by: Bonnie Walker
Path of pain that led me here
To my secret place, oh, so dear.
Who would have thought, who would dream
That the agony would place me in Your glory stream.
Circumstances of darkness overwhelming me
How could this much pain work to set me free?
Your word says ALL things work for my good
But it wasn't until lately that I understood
Pressed on all sides, darkness abounding
'Til revelation came that's so astounding.
Treasures and riches hidden in dark places
Lessons to be learned in the lonely, weary spaces.
No other path except the one that You chose
Would have worked the good in me, Heaven knows!
So I praise You for this path of pain
The one that led me here through the stormy rain.
It led me straight to my sweet Jesus' feet
Where on my face before You, You've promised we can always meet.
So thank You for the long and dreary path of pain
That brought me into Your presence - what glory I gain!
